We keep hearing about a lot of things on Instagram. How to get more followers, how to get more engagement, more likes, and so on.
But, in fact, there are things that we should and must stop doing.
If you want to know who they are, keep reading, I will tell you. 🙂
Not posting consistently
One of the most common mistakes made by all those who want to be influencers and bloggers is not posting consistently. I have to admit, I sometimes make this mistake too (feeling ashamed).
Sometimes you do not post even a whole week (or more). But that is not good.
Life is fast, you are all super busy, and when you think you need to sit down, think, get an idea, get creative, and post on Instagram, then you start to hate your job. But there is no need for this.
You do not have to hate your job, I will tell you a few tricks to become more organized.
First, look around and find out when your audience is most active. Which day, at what time, and so on. For example: on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, your followers are most active from 6 pm to 9 pm. Then, post photos in those days, in that period.
Have a plan for what content you will post, what colors will prevail in your feed.
Take more pictures. Edit them and save them for later. Post on a specific day and hour after any of these saved photos. Have as much as possible.
And last but not least, use the scheduling tool application. It will help you to be more organized, and the application will post for you at a specific time of your choice.
You don’t use the right hashtags
This may sound silly, but it’s one of those mistakes you make all the time. Pay more attention to what hashtags you put under your post. Think of some interesting ones and write them down. Make sure those hashtags are used frequently.
You Post Not so good pictures with low quality
For this, I think I do not need to write anymore. It is clear. Only post good quality pictures. Pictures that are well edited. Pictures that are taken in daylight.
You are not Engaging with other people
This is also one of the most common mistakes you make.
Try to take a few minutes a day to follow new profiles, comment on pictures, write a message, and of course – likes.
By searching and opening hashtags, try to find accounts that share content similar to yours.
Reply to comments and messages you receive. Always.
Do not buy followers or get them through some applications
Just – don’t.
It’s that very simple. Instagram will recognize this and block your account.
It is better to wait a long time to collect real followers (organic) than to buy them – it will certainly not bring you anything.
Well, these are the most common and biggest mistakes people make on Instagram (even me sometimes).
Don’t worry about it. We are human and we make mistakes. But try to fix these 5 things, and I guarantee you everything will change.
